Long Live Egypt

It’s the blood that flows,
Through the Nile
Which carries the corpses
Of my friends and those
Who I have seen smiling
Down the alleys and streets
Of Ramses, in Khan Al Khalili
Where an old man smiled
Only to mourn the death
Of his young son

Nile flows the broken limbs
The broken hearts that fall
Like cards every day
In this massacre
Their fists turn into
Hands in prayers
“Hasbunallah
wa nimal wakil”
Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us).

The blood of the youth boils
Into the tides that once
Destroyed the Pharoah in Nile
The tyrants live and die
But martyrdom is forever
From Rabaa to Ramses and Alexandria to Ismailiyaa,
The end of tyrants is coming

Tahya Masr
Long Live Masr.
